1.2 Usage and Learning Data

As you use the platform, we store the following data to support your learning experience:

  • Exam history — records of practice exams you have taken, including scores and timestamps.
  • Wrong answers — questions you answered incorrectly, stored so you can review and improve.
  • Domain scores — your performance breakdown across the five Security+ SY0-701 domains.
  • Notes — personal study notes you create within the platform.
  • Question feedback — any feedback you submit about specific questions.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data including:

  • Page views and navigation patterns
  • Device type, browser, and operating system
  • Approximate geographic location (country/region level)
  • Page load performance metrics

Vercel Analytics is privacy-focused and does not use cookies or track individual users across sites. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Providing the Service — to authenticate your account, save your progress, track your exam history, and deliver a personalized study experience.
  • Improving the Platform — to understand how users interact with the Site and identify areas for improvement using aggregated analytics data.

  • Communication — we do not send marketing emails. We may contact you only for essential service-related matters if necessary.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase-managed PostgreSQL database. Supabase provides enterprise-grade security including:

  • Encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data
  • Database hosting in EU and/or US regions
  • Regular automated backups

Authentication tokens are managed securely by Supabase Auth. Passwords (for email/password accounts) are hashed and never stored in plain text.

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Cookies

The Site does not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies. The only cookies used are essential authentication cookies set by Supabase to maintain your login session. These are strictly necessary for the Site to function and cannot be opted out of while using the service.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase (Privacy Policy) — authentication, database, and backend services.
  • Google OAuth (Privacy Policy) — optional sign-in method. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name. We do not access any other Google account data.
  • Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights (Privacy Policy) — anonymous, cookie-free website analytics and performance monitoring.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR for users in the European Economic Area), you have the following rights:

  • Right of Access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification — you may update your display name and other profile information directly within the platform.
  • Right to Erasure — you may request deletion of your account and all associated data. Contact us to exercise this right.
  • Right to Data Portability — you may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Right to Restrict Processing — you may request that we limit how we use your data.
  • Right to Object — you may object to certain types of data processing.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will permanently remove all your personal data, including exam history, notes, scores, and feedback, within 30 days of the request. The Site is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us, and we will promptly delete such information.
